Presentation Skills

“Before sessions with John, Public Speaking was a nightmare, I would seize up or try my best to get out of giving presentations… …I can now give presentations confidently and actually like the thought of public speaking, something I had never imagined before.” - Carol Reynolds, Roscommon.

Uncertainty about what to say, worry about being the centre of attention, pressure to get it right, these are often the deciding factors in our future career progression.

I specialise in training and empowering those who want to be successful presenters and communicators to build their confidence and presentations for maximum achievement.

Holding Back and Self-Doubt

“I have learned to control my mind and feelings. Have gained new confidence which will help me in my new business... …it’s SMASHING, FANTASTIC, and AWESOME!”  - Sandra Mulhall

Sometimes there can seem to be so much to do that we just stall. The feeling of sitting down to accomplish something but feeling jittery and uneasy until we distract into something else is very common.

Lack of clarity or uncertainty are powerful assassins of action. Fear backs that feeling up. To succeed you have to get clear on what to do and build the concentration and motivation to take continued action.Your mind is the tool that will decide this. Our feelings drive us or stop us.

Sports and Performance Mindset

“I had a really positive experience performing today. I put all your training to the test & I was very relaxed & confident playing... ...So just to say how thankful I am to you, You do amazing work, it’s much appreciated. All the best!" - Noel, Athlone.

Every year I hear people say ‘I just hope to have a good day’, ‘When I’m in the right place in my head I play brilliantly’, ‘I can perform in practice but when it matters I crumble!’

I always ask: “how long do you spend each week training physically for your sport?” For the pros I expect 20 hours a week. For the amateurs it’s often 9+ hours. “How long do you spend training your mind for your sport?”  The answer is always zero.

Yet from international professionals to local champions they all have the same issue – they suffer doubt, fear, worry, and thus perform far below par and it’s unpredictable. What would make the biggest difference in your performance, a few fewer hours physical training and a few hours more Mindset training, or just keeping focussing on the physical?

Your Mind Coach

John Prendergast is an internationally recognised award-winning Therapist and Mind-Coach who lived decades with severe anxiety and depression before he found the help he needed to overcome those challenges and to build a happier and more successful life.

Now followed in over 100 countries and speaking internationally, John helps people from all around the globe to succeed and achieve more in life.

He went from worrying about participating in group activities to where he now runs his own events in Dublin and London and enjoys speaking to full rooms of people and helping others to achieve more.

His core message is “it’s our emotions that determine what we do. If we feel confident and enthused we are motivated to act, if we feel doubt or uncertainty we hold back, but it’s the feeling more than the strategy that powers both. That’s what we can control and that makes everything easier!”
